The terrace outside borders the downhill ski run of the Aineck ski area in the wintertime. so the lifts and the slopes are right there. The centre of St. Margarethen is only a 2-minute walk. This is a fantastic family destination all year round. The ski area is among the top three in Austria. with 250 km of groomed slopes ranging in difficulty levels. and varying in altitude from 1064 to 2410 metres. Of course. the recreational options also include hiking. cross-country skiing and tobogganing. In summertime. both active holidaymakers and those in search of rest and relaxation will be in their element in this gorgeous natural setting. Starting in late spring. the slope offers distant views when the snow melts and gives way to a lovely meadow. The Golfclub Lungau with a beautiful 18 hole course is just 5 minutes.The village is just a 30-minute drive from Lake Millstatt and 45 minutes from the Weissensee. The province is renowned for its castles and folklore as well as its 370 km bicycle path. the Murradweg . which runs along the Mur river and various national parks.
